2024 Short Track Tournament - First Friday Free For All

Join Arizona Roller Derby and Alwun House for our 3rd Annual Short Track Roller Derby Tournament. Short Track Roller Derby is a new format in roller derby. Short track was introduced in 2019 to offer a more accessible, smaller, style roller derby. It features 3 on 3 jams with teams of 7 skaters each. The game is fast, simple, and super entertaining! 

Featuring

AZRD is excited to feature local artists as our team sponsors and guest vendors. Angelo Cortez, Damian Jim, and other Phoenix-based artists will be joining AZRD for this exciting night celebrating art and skating. 

Skaters

Open to all skaters over age 18. Registration closes Jan 1, 2024. Players register individually. All skaters must register separately. We will build the teams, but if you have other players you want to skate with, put their names in your registration form. Each team must have at least 1 yellow level skater. Yellow, refers to a lower level of contact - no hard hits and no inverted blocking. All skaters must jam once per half.

Spectators

The event is open and free for all. Join us by cheering for your favorite team, enjoying the food trucks, purchasing AZRD merch, and celebrating AZRD - a diverse, inclusive women’s sports organization - and Alwun House.

6:00pm – Introduction to Short Track and Arizona Roller Derby

6:30pm – Game 1

7:15pm – Game 2

8:15pm – Game 3

9:15pm – Game 4
